Century Bank Secured VISA Card

At Century Bank, we can help you establish credit or re-establish credit. Whether it is Bankruptcy, no credit or just bad credit, we can help.

It’s easy. Just fill out a secured credit card application and bring it to Century Bank along with a deposit to open a Certificate of Deposit (CD) with funds between $625.00 to $6,250.00. Your credit line will be 80% of your deposit. There is a 24 month minimum hold on the account.

The money in your CD is FDIC insured and won’t be touched as long as you make all your credit card payments on time. It’s there to “secure” your credit line. An additional benefit is that you will earn interest on the money in your CD.

After two years of demonstrated good credit habits, you may be eligible to receive an unsecured card.

There is little difference between a secured and a regular credit card. Your Century Bank Secured Visa card looks exactly like a regular unsecured card. You use it exactly the same way you would use a regular credit card. The stores you shop at will have no idea your card is secured.

• There is a $25.00 non-refundable application fee.
• There is a $25 annual fee billed to your first statement.
• Your line of credit is equal to 80% of the amount of your CD
• Purchases will be billed to you monthly.
