About Century Bank
Century Bank was founded on April 27th, 1984 and formally began operations on April 1, 1985. By December 31, 1985, Century Bank had grown to $31,250,000 in assets. The Bank continued to grow and maintain a profitable operation, and by December 31, 1987 total assets were $76 million.
Mr. Barry Florescue, a Florida businessman based in Delray Beach, bought Century Bank in 1988. The Bank completed 1988 with $104 million in assets. In 2005 the Bank celebrated twenty years of continued growth, with seven branch locations and more than $600 million dollars in assets. The bank now has nine branch locations.
